I'd also like to say, my hat goes off to the team behind this great work and good luck for the future.

Just like many others, this is exactly the information i have been looking for for some time now but was wondering if anyone had any success with a dual Xeon set up such as the Supermicro X8DAI or X8DTH-6F

I built a system using the X8DAI a few months back but hit a brick wall with Sli and i'm just about to build a new system with the X8DTH-6F or similar so i'm hoping for Sli this time around so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Which OS do you have, and what VGA's?

Just try to download and run next tool:

0. Install the VGAs to the native 16x PCI-Express 2.0 sockets. It is no problem that these 16x ports are connected to different IOH-36Ds!
1. Install unmodified NVidia drivers.
2. Download tool
Extract these files to an easy to reach path (e.g.: c:\SLI).
3. open a command prompt. (Start -> run... -> cmd)
4. Enter the path where you stored the files that you extracted from the zip. -> cd\SLI
5. Run the following command: iasl -g
6. Send this file to me, to made modifications.
7. I'll send it back, with new file DSDT.aml. Run asl /loadtable DSDT.aml
8. That's it. You may have to reboot to enable SLI. An automatic SLI-notification will pop-up in your taskbar and the NVidia Control panel will show SLI and PhysX.[/quote]

Updated tools for your system.

New version have Supermicro native support, so just download, unpack, run tool and press SUPERMICRO button. Install Forceware drivers, and reboot.
I think it will work this way.

Bit later than i'd had hoped but still trying to decide which board i want to use in a future build but i was given a chance to test a few boards today along with dual GTX285's and confirm that i got Sli to work on Supermicro X8DAi and Supermicro X8DAH+-F though i must point out that i could not get either to work with the SLIStringInstaller v1.81 using the Supermicro button and had to resort to using the Hal Mod followed by SLIStringInstaller v1.81 and using the Asus button.

I have no idea why this was but i tried multiple times using the SLIStringInstaller v1.81 without success but Hal Mod followed by Asus button worked first time on both boards.

I'll have the chance to test more soon including the massive X8DTG-QF super sever board with Tri and Quad Sli so i'll keep you posted.
